Reporting Flooding

Report Flooding Issues – Quick Help for Residents

Flooding can be very stressful and upsetting. Different organisations are responsible depending on the type of flooding. Reporting directly to the right authority is the fastest way to get help.

If the flooding is ongoing and urgent, call the relevant hotline first – don’t wait. We hope this page makes reporting easier and less stressful.

Please take photos or videos (if safe to do so), note the exact location (postcode or what3words), date, time, and whether it has happened before. This helps the teams respond quickly and effectively.

***Reminder to please report surface water flooding in Darley Dale***

Reporting surface water flooding that you experience as you journey through Darley Dale greatly assists the Town Council when it comes to objections to planning applications for housing in areas that are known to be susceptible to flooding. The more reports of surface water flooding that an incident receives, the more weight to flooding risk is given by the District Council when reviewing planning applications – so please report incidents. Remember to please take photos or videos (if safe to do so), note the exact location (postcode or what3words), date, time, and whether it has happened before.
